BILLE is a customizable working desk for home-based office work. It can be opened when a big working surface is needed, and it is simple to close to have more space in the room. It is also applicable to standing work positions at different levels.
Although it is a mechanical system it has been designed with a low-tech concept so that it can be produced simply and eco-friendly. All the pieces are made of Finnish birch and no glue is needed for
any joint. It is possible to dissemble and assemble again, when flat-packed it is easy to store or move.
This desk represents the simple and basic idea of an old, functional and mechanical drafting table, responding to the challenges of today’s needs.
